| 内容記述 | 本研究では、最近実験で発見された自発的対称性の破れ(Spontaneous Symmetry Breaking、以下SSB)の非平衡時間発展によって生み出される謎の位相欠陥の正体を理論的に突き止めました。この系で実現するSSBは古くからよく知られる等方的超伝導体や超流動4Heで起こるSSBと同様であるため、量子渦と呼ばれる流体中の渦のような性質を持つ位相欠陥が生じると予想されます。ところが、その実験で観測された位相欠陥はそれとは似ても似つかない構造をもっており、その物理的性質は謎に包まれていました。本研究では飛行機の翼の揚力計算に用いられるジューコフスキー変換を量子渦に適用するという考えを初めて導入し、解析の結果、この謎の位相欠陥の最も安定な状態が量子楕円渦という新たな位相欠陥であることを明らかにしました。 | |||||||||||
