| 内容記述 | In the 1960s, thePeople's Republic of China was a period of political struggle that began in the late 1950s. Recognized as a minority of China, the Chinese Koreans benefited from the Communist Party's policy of equality of minorities and began to prosper culturally and economically until the mid-1950s. Since1957, however, the anti-rightist struggle and radical economic policies -- unscientific industrial agricultural policies and forced collectivization of agriculture -- have also hit Chinese Koreans hard. Disappointed with their lives in China, some ethnic Koreans crossed the border to North Korea and wanted to live in their homeland. In 1966, Mao Zedong launched the Cultural Revolution and the whole of China fell into chaos. The leadership of the Communist Party of China defined ethnic minority nationalism as a reaction, causing great human and material damage to the Korean community. In Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, a number of political parties were born claiming opposition, and there were conflicts and armed struggles. The complex international relationship between China, the Soviet Union and North Korea also had an impact on the background of Chinese ethnic Korean society in the 1960s. | |||||
