| 内容記述 | The objective of this paper is to investigate the operation of the Integrated Environmental Control System in cooperation with regional revitalisation and regeneration efforts to achieve a sound material-cycle society. Iida City, Nagano Prefecture was selected for investigation because the efforts being made there provide suggestions for a model of this type of initiative. This investigation elucidated the following: 1. Iida City overcame difficulties to establish economic clusters appropriate to the industrial structure of the aerospace industry. 2. Iida City engaged in region-wide environmental efforts to promote cooperation among corporations in the same region. 3. This resulted in the creation of a "cycle” in the region, which included people, things, money, information and the environment. Such a cycle serves as the origin of industrial activity and is exactly the type of cycle intended by the Integrated Environmental Control System, which suggests its applicability to other regions as well. | |||||||||||
